The KATE KUP Triples Tennis Tournament and the re-scheduled KATE KOMBO Golf & Pickleball Tournament will BOTH take place on April 19, 2025.

Three Sports, Two Events, One Epic Day!

DATE: Saturday, April 19, 2025

LOCATION: The Yards Tennis Center 254 Alta Mar Drive | Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082 Located inside TPC Sawgrass

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:

• 8:00 AM - Team Check-in & Warm-up
• 9:00 AM - Tournament Begins
• 4:00 PM - Awards After-Party

TEAM REGISTRATION/THREE (3) PLAYERS PER TEAM: $750 per team. Registration opens February 7^th at 12 PM. Includes a full day of play, player’s gift, complimentary lunch and select beverages during the tournament, and a generous donation to support innovative pediatric cancer research. This event is intended to be enjoyable with a focus on fun rather than intense competition. Please no teaching professionals and players ranked higher than 4.5, and no teams with combined rankings exceeding 13.0.

SPECTATORS: Spectators are welcome to watch the tournament and those who wish to attend the Awards After-Party can purchase tickets to join the fun.

ABOUT KATE AMATO AND OUR MISSION: At 9 years old, Kate was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer. Despite a long and painful battle with a terrible disease, Kate continually radiated kindness, joy and beauty. She was a special soul who captured the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her. Kate’s resilient and inspiring spirit lives on through the work of the Kate Amato Foundation.

During Kate’s illness, we learned how severely underfunded research is for childhood cancer, resulting in outdated, highly toxic treatments with low survival rates for children. Kate’s Foundation is dedicated to finding safer and more effective treatments for children with cancer by funding innovative research that accelerates the pace of progress and saves young lives.

HOW TO PLAY TRIPLES TENNIS: Each team consists of 3 players. These 3 players are your team during the entire tournament. Kindly follow the skill level criteria outlined above to ensure fair competition. Each game has 3 versus 3 players. A feeder feeds a ball to one side of the tennis court to start the point. After every point, each player rotates counterclockwise. At 11 points, the teams swap sides, giving each team a chance on the feed side. The goal is to be first to 21 points (win by 2).

Triples is a fast paced game to 21 and the points are moving quickly. Once the ball is fed into play, all players can move anywhere on the court. There are no restrictions on who can take what shot or where you stand on your side of the court.
