The KATE KUP Triples Tennis Tournament is a family-friendly fundraising event benefiting Kate Amato Foundation and pediatric cancer research. Thank you for your supporting our mission to find safer and more effective treatments for children with cancer.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:

9:00 AM - Team Check-in & Warm-up
10:00 AM - Tournament Begins
4:00 PM - Awards After-Party

TEAM REGISTRATION/THREE (3) PLAYERS PER TEAM: $825 per team. Registration opens January 16^th at 12 PM. Includes a full day of play, player’s gift, complimentary lunch and select beverages during the tournament, and a generous donation to support innovative pediatric cancer research.

RULES: KATE KUP is a costume-friendly event where creativity and fun take center court. From silly to spectacular, costumes are a big part of the experience, so please dress up and join the celebration! To keep the tournament well balanced, we ask that each team have at least one female player, and please no teaching professionals, players ranked higher than 4.5, or teams with combined rankings exceeding 13.0.

SPECTATORS: Spectators are welcome to watch the tournament and those who wish to attend the Awards After-Party can purchase tickets to join the fun.

ADULT PARTY ZONE: Beer Garden, Champagne Tent, Food and Fun!

KID ZONE: Ice Cream Truck, Face Painting, Balloon Artist, Inflatables, Carnival Games and More!

ABOUT KATE AMATO AND OUR MISSION: At 9 years old, Kate was diagnosed with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer. Despite a long and painful battle with a terrible disease, Kate continually radiated kindness, joy and beauty. She was a special soul who captured the hearts of everyone who was blessed to know her. Kate’s resilient and inspiring spirit lives on through the work of the Kate Amato Foundation.

During Kate’s illness, we learned how severely underfunded research is for childhood cancer, resulting in outdated, highly toxic treatments with low survival rates for children. Kate’s Foundation is dedicated to finding safer and more effective treatments for children with cancer by funding innovative research that accelerates the pace of progress and saves young lives.

To date, the KATE KUP has helped fund $1 Million in grants to support groundbreaking pediatric cancer research at some of the leading Immunotherapy and Cancer Genomics labs in the country. Thank you for helping us find better treatments for children with cancer!

HOW TO PLAY TRIPLES TENNIS: Each team consists of 3 players. These 3 players are your team the entire tournament. Kindly follow the skill level criteria outlined above to ensure fair competition. Each game has 3 versus 3 players. A feeder feeds a ball to one side of the tennis court to start the point. After every point, each player rotates counterclockwise. At 11 points, the players swap sides. This gives each team a chance at the feed side. The goal is to be first team to 21 points (win by 2). It is a very quick paced game to 21. The points are moving fast. Once the ball is fed into play, all players can move anywhere on the court. There are no restrictions on who can take what shot or where you stand on your side of the court. Triples tennis is a blast!!
